What to Expect When You Visit

We’d love for you to join us as we glorify God!

Wear whatever you like and sit anywhere you like. It’s very Anglican to sit towards the back!

Our worship services center around Scripture and Sacrament. We sing together (at the 10:30), share readings from the Old and New Testaments, listen to a sermon that delves deep into the Scripture a reading more deeply (bring a Bible if you have one, our rector is an Old Testament at the local seminary!), and share Holy Communion in bread and wine at both services every Sunday.

Our prayers and responses follow the Anglican Book of Common Prayer, which traces its lineage to the 16th-century Protestant Reformation in England. Look for a red book under the seat in front of you and the page numbers in the weekly bulletin. At our 10:30 service, we sing traditional, Christ-centered hymns.

Sunday Morning Services

“Said” Holy Communion at 8:30am
Our smaller, quieter early service is spoken only, no music. On a typical Sunday, we have 8-20 in attendance and it lasts around 45 minutes. Join us after for coffee and fellowship afterward, as our choir rehearses in the background.

Family Holy Communion, 10:30am
Our larger service of Holy Communion is accompanied by traditional hymns and the occasional choral song. On a typical Sunday, we have 50-90 in attendance and this service lasts around 90 minutes.

Nursery and Children’s Ministry, 10:30am
During the school year (except during some special services), we provide a nursery (birth to pre-K) and Children’s Ministry (K-6) during the 10:30 service. Our nursery volunteer starts at 10:25am, but feel free to show your kids around the space beforehand. The Children’s Ministry leaves the service after the opening hymn and prayers. All children return to the service after we exchange the Peace (when everyone stands and shakes hands) so they can join us for Communion.

Your children are also welcome to sit with us at either service! We love hearing them participate.
